"The Harvest," directed by Amanda Schlacter, with set design by Craig Smith, is set in the basement of a small, evangelical church in Idaho, where a group of young missionaries are preparing to go to the Middle East to convert "lost souls." When one boy is convinced to buy a one-way ticket and lead a life of service for the church, he is confronted by his estranged sister and challenged to question his faith. That and many other plot twists lead to an engaging night of theatre and raises powerful questions about religion, family, sexuality and God.
The cast includes SCF students Luke Sandlin, Easton Laviolette, Kelsey Fisher, Lily Sleeper, Michael Longobardi, Jacob Jones, Jorge Abdala, Makenna Siefke, Eyrelin Laviolette and James Napier. The stage crew consists of stage manager Bianca Antonetty, assistant stage manager Savhanna Debaylo, assistant to the director and dramaturg Remy Graivshark, lighting by Eyrelin Laviolette, sound by Vance Longobardi and projections by James Napier.
Tickets are available by visiting SCF.edu/Theatre or SCF.edu/Neel. Seats are $15 for general admission, $10 for SCF faculty and staff, and $8 for local students with ID.
