SCV Venice Green Team Hosts Shane Cherry to Discuss Habitat and Water Restoration Projects

Shane Cherry will present stories of ecological restoration projects to highlight important and relevant issues related to protecting and restoring the natural systems.

Cherry is an expert in the physical processes that occur in rivers, floodplains, and watersheds. He  develops and negotiates solutions to  river and estuarine ecosystems impacted by contamination and other forms of ecological degradation. His team works with the EPA and other scientists to restore the natural environment to bring damaged ecosystems back to health.

This event is free and open to the public, students, faculty, staff, and administrators. Please arrive early since seating is limited.
