American Chemical Society Student Affiliate Club Alumni Speaker Series

Join SCF's American Chemical Society Student Affiliate Club for its first alumni speaker series of 2023 featuring Colin Wence.

Wence graduated from SCF in 2014 with an A.A. degree. While attending SCF, he was an active member of the American Chemical Society, where he introduced a new experiment to their middle school outreach program. He then attended USF Tampa and graduated from their Middle School Educator cohort in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Science Education, summa cum laude.

After working for the Walt Disney Company and participating in their College Program, Colin worked as a middle school science teacher at a Title I middle school in Bradenton, Florida. He now works as a virtual secondary science instructor with students from across the United States. He has been rated a “highly effective” educator since 2019.
